Henry C. “Hank” Foley, president of New York Institute of Technology, announced that Joseph Posillico has joined the university as vice president for enrollment management, effective May 1. Posillico has nearly 30 years of higher education experience in strategic enrollment management, student financial services, and recruitment and retention.
“Joe brings an impressive track record of successful outcomes that will contribute to our continued goal of recruiting and retaining a talented, dynamic, and diverse student body,” said Foley. “I look forward to working with him and other members of the New York Tech leadership team to explore new avenues of opportunity, growth, and success for our community of makers, doers, innovators and healers.”
Since 2016, Posillico has served as senior vice president for Caldwell University where he oversaw admissions, financial aid, marketing, communications, registrar, athletics, and facilities operations. He also served as acting president in June-July 2016, and vice president for enrollment management from February 2005 to December 2015. During his time there, Caldwell experienced significant increases in undergraduate enrollment and first-year retention.
Prior to joining Caldwell, Posillico held positions of increasing responsibility at Adelphi University for nearly 14 years, including the role of assistant vice president for enrollment management from 2001 to 2005. In this capacity, he directed strategic enrollment planning, marketing and advertising, budgeting, systems development, and staff training, and helped to increase freshman and transfer enrollment by 47 percent and 40 percent, respectively. At Adelphi he also served as director of university admissions and student financial services, assistant director of student financial services, and manager of financial reporting for student financial services.

Prior to entering the higher education space, Posillico served as a senior accountant at Deloitte and Touche where he supported a range of clients from not-for-profit to SEC-registered and Fortune 500 companies.
He holds a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University, a master’s degree from Adelphi University, and an Ed.D. from Northeastern University. He has authored numerous articles and is affiliated with multiple professional organizations centered on college admissions, counseling, and financial aid, including the National Association for College Admission Counseling, American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers, and National Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators.
