Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth, Council Member Veronica Lurvey along with the Department of Services for the Aging’s Project Independence hosted a meet and greet for the residents at Manhasset Valley on February 26. The goal of the meeting was to introduce the residents to Project Independence’s services, classes, nurses, and social workers.
North Hempstead’s Project Independence is a program in the Town’s Department of Services for the Aging with the mission to assist and enable aging residents 60 and older to remain in their own homes.
