North Middle School students from Ms. Neckin’s eighth-grade Exploring Home and Careers elective class decided to volunteer at the Ronald McDonald House of Long Island on Friday, Nov. 17.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities is a nonprofit organization that provides housing for families with hospitalized children who are 21 years old and younger.

Students used the kitchen facilities to bake snacks for the families and children staying at the Ronald McDonald House in New Hyde Park.

This initiative at North Middle aims to develop caring, future leaders by teaching students the importance of volunteerism.
