Northwell Health has been recognized by Press Ganey for its top-notch employee engagement scores and high-quality patient experience at three facilities.
Northwell Health was one of 10 health systems in the country to receive the Pinnacle of Excellence in employee engagement. This achievement commemorates Northwell Health’s employee surveys from January 2017 through January 2019. Northwell Health has seen a 90 percent response rate to employee engagement surveys from its 70,000 employees, which ranks the health system in the 25 percent by Press Ganey. This result is consistent with Northwell being certified as a best place to work through the Great Place to Work Institute.

Cohen Children’s Medical Center’s ambulatory surgery and pre-surgical testing team was recognized as the 2019 Pediatric Excellence Award winner for the group’s dedication to providing extraordinary care to its patients and families.
In addition, both the Northwell Health Physician Partners at Smithtown and Phelps Hospital’s radiation medicine department received Guardian of Excellence awards for their high patient experience scores. Both facilities achieved in the 95 percentile or higher in their likelihood to recommend category.
