The Herricks Art Boosters Association held its third annual Painting Party Fundraiser on Jan. 30 at Herricks High School. More than 50 elementary students representing Center Street, Denton Avenue and Searingtown schools were joined by their parents for an evening of exciting, creative and hands-on fundraising.
Herricks High School art teacher Allyson Zebrowski led the young artists in creating a festive, colorful, winter-themed painting. Zebrowski’s Art Club students were also on hand to assist during the event. All money raised will support the district’s enriching art programs, STEAM initiatives and more for grades K-12.
As a result of the interest and participation in this activity, the Art Boosters group is considering hosting another Paint Night event in the spring. More details will be shared in the future months.
