While life as we know it has largely been on pause since COVID-19 started making headlines in March 2020, breast cancer hasn’t taken a break.

In fact, skyrocketing unemployment, food insecurity and breast cancer are a catastrophic mix for women living without adequate insurance.

Pink Aid Long Island helps to ease the burden for your friends and neighbors undergoing treatment for breast cancer by supporting programs that provide services including free mammograms, wigs, recovery garments, Stop & Shop food cards, and more. Since its founding in 2011, Pink Aid’s Long Island and Connecticut chapters have donated a combined $6.5 million to 47 different programs and hospitals.

Pink Aid Long Island’s hugely popular Annual October Celebration of Life Luncheon & Fashion Show at Mitchells of Huntington has had to move to a virtual platform.

“Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we cannot be together at Mitchells this year but our virtual event will be crammed with as much pink passion, fashion & fun, celebrity appearances, auction packages and celebrations as in years past,” explained Pink Aid Long Island President Rosemary Connors. “We urge you to gather your pod and join us.”

Musical Guest Old Dominion, who recently won two County Music Awards, will “stop by” the event to donate an exclusive live performance of one of their hits to Pink Aid.

Through its Pink Purse Initiative, Pink Aid provides direct financial assistance to cover essential household expenses like rent and utility bills, babysitting, and transportation to and from treatment. Since many Americans live paycheck-to-paycheck, the current pandemic with its impact on employment is further fueling the financial crisis for families across the country. The Pink Purse Initiative is now launching a national expansion to help meet these new needs.

Virtual Event Tickets start at $175. Special ticket packages are also available to help bring the festivities into your home!  To purchase tickets or ticket packages, please visit pinkaid.org or call 844-PINK-AID.   Pre-party commences at 5:45pm; main event begins at 6pm. Show will run an hour start to finish. Ticket holders will be emailed a link prior to event.
