Play mini golf at Bryant Library April 6

The Island Now

It’s Opening Day April 6 at Bryant Library. Nassau County’s oldest continuing library will be transformed into an 18-hole miniature golf course. Tees and putting greens will be laid out between bookshelves, up and down stairways, all through the newly renovated Childrens’ Room and even infiltrating the meeting spaces in the historic Roslyn War Memorial Building.

This event is for people of all ages to come together and have real fun, in the real world, in real time.

There is an entrance fee of $5 per golfer, all proceeds to go to The Friends of Bryant Library, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit dedicated to supporting cultural and entertainment activities at the Bryant Library.

During the month of March there will be a special exhibit on the main floor of the Bryant Library depicting 40 classic characters from children’ literature playing Miniature Miniature Golf. It’s so much fun to test your knowledge of Kid Lit! (see attachments).

The Title Sponsor for this event is Fidelity Investments of Roslyn, in addition to the kind support of Douglas Elliman Real Estate, The Atria on Roslyn Harbor, Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Homes, Holiday Farms, Wheatley Plaza, and: The DiMarco Foundation; David Ostrich; Cathy Mealing; Richard Serchuk, DDS; and Tinette Sterling.
