On Thursday, May 2, the Port Washington Children’s Center will host its annual gala, which will honor Donna Preminger, the outgoing executive director. She has made a tremendous impact over the 12 years she has directed staff and programming at the center, turning it into a preeminent childcare program in Port Washington.

Under Donna’s leadership, the center has flourished to support the entire community through a variety of childhood programs. These include a highly regarded full-day toddler program, nursery and afterschool programs, as well as Port Day Camp, the community’s only full day summer program available to children pre-k through 6th grade.

This year’s event will be held at Engineers Country Club in Roslyn Harbor.  The theme is “building our futures together” and will feature live music from the Port Washington local band, Hat Trixx, raffle baskets, silent auction, a cocktail hour and dinner.

Those interested in attending the gala or making a donation may visit www.pwchildrenscenter.org or call 516-883-4864.  All proceeds generated by the gala will go towards the scholarship fund that provides low-income families in Port Washington with a supportive, nurturing environment and outstanding learning experience for their children.

The gala and many Children’s Center programs are made possible through its generous sponsors. The Port Washington Children’s Center extends a special thank you to The Peter & Jeri Dejana Family Foundation for their incredibly valuable support over the years.
