AGATE’s annual candidates night to be heled Thursday, May 6 at 7:30 p.m.


AGATE of Port Washington invites parents and all members of the Port Washington
community to join us on Thursday, May 6 at 7:30 pm for a virtual forum with this year’s Board of Trustee candidates: Adam Block, Larry Greenstein (incumbent), Nora Johnson (incumbent), Nanette Melkonian, Justin Renna, Adam Smith and Beth Weisburd (incumbent).

These candidates are running for three seats, and the winners will begin 3-year terms on July 1. We invite you to submit questions in advance of the forum to moderator Rebecca Hughes Parker at Go to to find a link for the forum.

AGATE’s “Meet the Candidates” night is an annual event. AGATE is a home-school association within the Port Washington School District that works with parents, teachers, administrators and other organizations to advocate for the unique needs of diverse gifted students and other advanced learners from pre-kindergarten through graduation.
