PYA dedicates field to the DeJana Foundation

The Island Now

Port Washington Youth Activities (PYA) is pleased to announce that it dedicated one of its playing fields to the Peter and Jeri DeJana Family Foundation at the start of the 2017 fall season. PYA did so to honor and recognize all that the Peter and Jeri DeJana Foundation has done, not only for PYA but for the entire community of Port Washington. The Foundation donates to many different local and regional organizations that offer quality services to a broad range of residents in their communities.

PYA, established in 1963, is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit organization whose mission is to promote the sportsmanship and character development in children through participation in its sports programs. PYA is the only Better Business Bureau-Accredited sports-related charitable organization in Port Washington. With its top-notch facilities located at the end of Glen Lane in Port Washington, PYA has one of the finest youth sports complexes on Long Island.
