Roslyn High School preps for homecoming against Glen Cove

The annual Roslyn High School Homecoming celebration will take place on Saturday, Oct. 21.

The community is invited to enjoy the Homecoming Parade beginning at 12:15 p.m. in front of Roslyn High School. The parade will go through the Village of Roslyn and conclude at the high school.

Participating in the parade are the Roslyn fire departments, students, staff, parents, clubs and teams.

Principal Scott Andrews encourages the community to carry their enthusiasm and spirit from the parade into the football game scheduled to begin at 2:00 p.m. and cheer on the Roslyn Bulldogs against Glen Cove.

Opening ceremonies begin at 1:30 p.m. before the game. The Marching Bulldogs, Roslyn High School’s marching band, will perform during halftime.

All of the Roslyn schools will be celebrating Spirit Week in anticipation of Homecoming. The community is encouraged on Thursday, Oct. 19 to watch the Boys’ Varsity Volleyball game at 5 .p.m and the Boys’ JV Volleyball at 7 p.m. The Girls’ Varsity Volleyball team has a home game at 4:30 p.m.
