Roslyn Landmark Society to host annual house tour

The Roslyn Landmark Society is hosting the annual house tour on June 1 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This year, the Roslyn Landmark Society House Tour has some very unique homes on the tour from Old Northern Boulevard, Glen Avenue and Main Street up to Hillside Avenue, including the historic Roslyn Grist Mill and the Ellen E. Ward Memorial Clock Tower. Tour guides and docents in the homes will explain the history and architecture.

Since 1961, the Roslyn Landmark Society has been at the forefront of the local preservation movement. Proceeds from the tour will allow the society to continue preservation efforts, tours and special events.

Tickets for the tour are $20 in advance and $30 day of the tour, and may be purchased at the Roslyn Landmark Society at 36 Main Street. Ticket sale times are Monday through Friday 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or by calling or emailing the office. Cash, check and credit card payments are accepted. Tickets purchased the day of will be available in front of the Roslyn Grist Mill, located at 1347 Old Northern Blvd., starting at 9:45 a.m.

Due to the historic nature of these private homes, no spiked heels, smoking or interior photography will be permitted.
