The Roslyn Middle School String Ensemble, under the direction of Jackie Martin, competed at New York State School Music Association Majors on May 16 at Mineola High School.
The students performed three pieces that they have been working on since September.
They received the highest rating of Gold with Distinction for their level II performance. Martin said she could not be prouder of this hardworking group of students.
