More than 80 students from Roslyn High School’s AP Computer Science Principles program attended a workshop on Oct. 26 at Adelphi University on video game design hosted by Lee Stemkoski.

Students were exposed to a college-level computer science lab. Stemkoski guided the Roslyn students through the creation of their own video game, Space Rocks (inspired by Asteroids), while learning the basics of the Construct Programming Platform.

The day ended with a tour of the campus and lunch. The Roslyn High School teachers involved with the workshop are Brian Ciavarella, Jennifer DiPietro, and Lawrence Reiff.
