Twenty-six World War II and Korean War veterans or spouses ranging in age from 80 to 101 completed four months of training in preparation for setting world and American records on Concept2 indoor water rowers. Athletes from six Atria communities will set records. Coaching has been provided by U.S. Veterans Rowing & Kayaking.

Atria Senior Living currently holds 25 world and American records. At the completion of these events the expectation is 50 records will be achieved. We invite you to be a part of this unique and exciting record setting event.

The event will be Nov. 3 at 10:30 a.m. at Atria East Northport and 3:30 p.m. at Atria Roslyn Harbor.

“Atria prides itself on offering innovative daily programming with an eye toward providing an atmosphere that promotes living better, longer,” said Atria’s divisional engage life innovation director Becky Gallucci. “Actively engaging in physical, mental and socially stimulating opportunities provide the members of our community a fun, warm and inviting living space with experiences they enjoy sharing with friends.”
