The New Hyde Park Memorial High School newspaper The Chariot has earned silver medal recognition from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.
The CSPA medalist critique encompasses all aspects of newspaper production, from writing to layout to headlines and depth of coverage. Under the leadership of editors-in-chief Emily Budhram and Eleni Kothesakis, the editorial staff and writers provide the NHP community with school, national and world news in six issues per school year. English teacher Mary Kay Mannle is adviser for The Chariot.
