Spend the Summer on the Water with Port Rowing

Port Rowing summer camps are open to rising seventh through 12th graders. Groups will be divided by age and skill level. No experience necessary.

Middle school learn to row camps will be held Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Session 1 runs June 25 through July 6, session 2 runs July 9 through July 21 and session 3 runs  July 23 through Aug. 3.

These developmental camps are for rising seventh and eighth graders to develop basic rowing technique, build overall strength and endurance, and be part of a fun, team experience and enjoy a summer on the water.

High school training camps follow the same pattern, running Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. There are three sessions, each matching the same dates as the middle school camps.

These camps are for novice and experienced high school rowers interested in building a strong foundation in the sport. Participants will maximize water time by training in small boats and receive individualized coaching from our highly accomplished coaching staff. There will be both local and travel opportunities for competitive racing. Participants can choose from three two-week sessions, or receive a discount when registering for all three.

A Club Nationals competitive camp run from June 25 through July 17, with travel from July 11 through 17. This is a special offer for high-performance rowers to train and compete at the US Rowing Club National Championships. Rowers must be experienced and prepared to race at a highly competitive event. Applicants must be approved by the Port Rowing coaching staff.

All camps will be held at the Port Rowing Boathouse at North Hempstead Beach Park, north entrance #2, 141 West Shore Road in Port Washington.
