Sperry Associates Federal Credit Union offers federal government shutdown relief program

Sperry Associates Federal Credit Union, based in Garden City Park, New York is offering relief programs to Federal Government employees directly impacted by the Federal Government Shutdown.

According to the Sperry FCU Federal Government Shutdown Relief Program, any Federal Government employee who qualifies for Membership is eligible to apply for a 12-month personal line of credit up to $7,500, with no payments due and interest-free for the first three months. Thereafter the line converts to a Personal Line of Credit at the prevailing rate based on the applicant’s credit rating prior to the Federal Government Shutdown.

Also, existing Sperry FCU Members, who are Federal Government employees directly impacted by the Federal Government Shutdown may apply for a three-month payment deferment on existing Sperry FCU loans or lines of credit if they are in good standing.

Kevin Healy, Sperry FCU’s CEO said, “Our Members are our focus and our goal is to be there for them when they need us.  Our Federal Government Shutdown Relief Program is a prime example of this Member focus.  We are concerned for the Federal Government employees and want to do what we can to give them a reprieve while they try to make ends meet in this difficult climate”.

The offers are available to Federal Government employees who are existing Sperry FCU Members and Federal Government employees who qualify to become Members of Sperry FCU.
