Join us online for Stand Up, Speak Out: Finding Your Inner Activist workshop for teens in grades 8 to 12 on Wednesday, Feb. 3 at 5:00 p.m.

This workshop, presented online for the Great Neck Library by Helen Turner, Director of Education, Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County, empowers teens with the tools to become Upstanders in their communities. Teens are introduced to the concept of civic engagement and taught how to identify different roles they can take when faced with injustice. After developing these tools, teens learn about a diverse group of youth activists and brainstorm about how they can take action in their day to day lives. Earn community service credit.

Register in advance to receive Zoom meeting ID and passcode on your registration confirmation, and an email reminder about one day before the date of the program. Contact: Courtney Greenblatt, cgreenblatt@greatnecklibrary.org
