The Sands Point Preserve Conservancy welcomes Steinway artist Julian Gargiulo in an interactive piano concert on Saturday, April 7 at 8 p.m.

Gargiulo’s career spans prestigious performance venues around the world, from Carnegie Hall to Singapore’s Symphony Stage, and he now brings his original approach to the concert format to the elegant Winter Living Room in historic Hempstead House. A classically trained pianist, Gargiulo captivates his audiences with his extraordinary technical precision — and comic wit. The program encompasses centuries of music, featuring classical standards, Tango transcriptions, as well as his own jazz-influenced compositions. Between pieces, he engages the audience with personal stories and anecdotes from the lives of well-known composers. Children age 10 to 18 are free with paying adults. Dessert follows the concert.

“He’s the only classical musician I know who could truly be regarded as a rock star as well,” the Courier Mail wrote.

Tickets are $45 per person for Conservancy members and $55 per person for non-members; children age 10 – 18 are free with paying adults. Not recommended for children under 10. Purchase tickets online at www.sandspointpreserve.org or call the ticket line: 516.304.5076.
