Temple Beth-El of Great Neck is thrilled to host a concert by Pizmon on Saturday, April 21, at 7:30 PM. Pizmon is the standout a cappella group comprised of students from Columbia University, Barnard College, and the Jewish Theological Seminary.

The group’s name, Pizmon, originates from pizmonin, which are traditional Jewish melodies. Historically, pizmonim were sung to praise God during religious ceremonies, rituals and festivals. In addition to bringing traditional historic music to life, Pizmon’s eclectic repertoire is also infused with modern and classical liturgical pieces, Israeli rock and pop, Yiddish classics, and children’s songs.

This community concert is scheduled for Saturday, April 21 at 7:30 PM, in the Rudin Chapel at Temple Beth-El of Great Neck, 5 Old Mill Rd. Great Neck, NY. As part of a special Shabbat weekend, it is open to the public and free of charge. Temple Beth-El invites you to bring your friends and spend a lovely evening listening to beautiful music.
