Sheri ArbitalJacoby received First Place in the Narrative–Travel category from the Press Club of Long Island during the 2016 Media Awards.

Temple Beth-El of Great Neck’s Shema magazine won third place for Best Magazine from the Press Club of Long Island chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists, Sigma Delta Chi, in the 2021 PCLI Media Awards.

Managing Editor Sheri ArbitalJacoby, Editor Len Schiff and Executive Director Stuart Botwinick were all credited for their work on the fall and winter 2020 editions.

The award-winning issues can be read under the media tab on the temple’s website at www.tbegreatneck.org. The latest spring 2021 issue, which focuses on moving forward after the pandemic, can also be viewed.

Managing Editor Sheri ArbitalJacoby also won two other 2021 PCLI awards in the Health category. First place was awarded for The Immunity Series and third place for “Plant-Based Eating for Better Family Health” in The Well by Northwell.
