The North Hempstead Town Board unanimously approved various building permit extensions, policy modifications, and the waiver of late fees, in an effort to assist residents during the current state of emergency. The resolution was passed at a special Town Board meeting on Monday, March 30.

“It is important that the Town of North Hempstead is taking the necessary steps to ensure a sense of stability in the lives of our residents during this pandemic,” said Supervisor Bosworth. “I am grateful to the Town Board and the Building Department for temporarily modifying Building Department policies, which will provide much-needed relief to our residents.”
