Town honors Fred Falconer, Community Chest of Port Washington’s Citizen of the Year

North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth, Council Member Dina De Giorgio, Town Clerk Wayne Wink and Receiver of Taxes Charles Berman attended the Community Chest of Port Washington’s Citizen of the Year Dinner on April 8 at the Port Washington Public Library.

The event honored Fred Falconer, a lifelong Port Washington resident, who has worked tirelessly to improve the quality of life in Port Washington. Falconer is a part of the Port Washington Fire Department, Flower Hill Hose Company #1 as a member of the Port Washington Lions Club, CancerCare, the Port Washington Business Improvement, Port Youth Activities, Police Athletic League and the Port Washington Boy Scouts.

The Community Chest of Port Washington is a not-for-profit organization which was established in 1949 to raise funds for local charities including services for seniors, children, teenagers and victims of domestic violence, among others.
