Town of North Hempstead announces summer concert lineup

North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board announce dates for this year’s series of FREE summer concerts held at Mary Jane Davies Green in Manhasset. Rain location to be announced.

“Don’t miss these great concerts happening at Mary Jane Davies Green this summer,” Supervisor Judi Bosworth said. “There is a great variety of music. All you need to do is bring a lawn chair and your dancing shoes!”                                          

On July 9 from 7:30 to 9 p.m., King Kai: a tribute to Elvis Presley with this award winning Elvis tribute band.

On July 16 from 7:30 to 9 p.m., Family Night with Darlene Graham and The Shades of Green Band: kids, parents, grandparents and neighbors find themselves singing and dancing to the music of this award winning group.

On July 23 from 7:30 to 9 p.m., Folk and Rock Night: Featuring two performances: Raffi Froundjain, Armenian-American folk guitarist, solo fingerstyle acoustic guitarist and folk singer. Followed by Just Sixties Band, this rock band is scheduled throughout Long Island and famous for their tribute to the music of the 1960s. 

On July 30 from 7:30 to 9 p.m., Country music night: featuring Mary Lamont, kick up your heels and join in the country fun.           

On August 7 from 7:30 to 9 p.m., Classic rock and R&B with the band Nitework, featuring the best rock and R&B sounds from the ’60s to today.
