North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth, and Council Member Peter Zuckerman attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for the “Open the Doors to Opportunity” campaign at the Viscardi Center on April 24.

The project goal was to expand the many of the door frames at the school, enabling those who use power wheelchairs easy access from room to room. Initial funding for the project began over a year ago, with the construction taking place over spring break.
