The structure measures 160 feet long and 22 feet wide and is made out of galvanized steel, aircraft cable, and a polyethylene fabric. The shade structure is permanent and can withstand winds up to 115 MPH. Moreover, the shade structure will give Town of North Hempstead residents a cool, safe spot to relax during the summer.
