The United Village Party of Floral Park will be hosting a Meet the Candidates night on Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019. This event is open to ALL residents within the Nassau County 8th Legislative District and Town of Hempstead’s 2nd District (Bellerose Terrace, Floral Park, Garden City, Garden City South, New Hyde Park, Salisbury, South Floral Park, Stewart Manor, East Meadow, Elmont, Franklin Square, Hempstead, Uniondale, West Hempstead, Bellerose).
Residents will have an opportunity to hear from and speak directly with the candidates. For Nassau County 8th Legislative District, Vincent Muscarella (R-West Hempstead) and Barbara Hafner (D) have been invited. Ms. Hafner has confirmed, Mr. Muscarella has declined the invitation. For Town of Hempstead Council District 2, Tom Muscarella (R-Garden City) and Thomas Tweedy (D) have been invited. Mr. Tweedy has confirmed and Mr. Muscarella has declined the invitation.
The Meet the Candidates Night will be held at the American Legion Hall at 15 Elizabeth St. on Thursday, Oct. 17. It will begin at 7:00 p.m. ALL attendees must RSVP as space is limited. RSVP at https://uvp.eventbrite.com
