Join the Port Washington Adult Activities Center for a day out at the Vanderbilt Museum and Planetarium on Thursday, June 27.

Cost is $55 for members and $65 for non-members. Annual membership is $25, which includes nearly every class at the Center for free. The trip includes round trip bus transportation, admission to and a docent-guided tour of the museum and planetarium and lunch (choice of wraps, salads, assorted beverages and dessert).

The docent-guided tour features viewing centuries-old paintings, furniture and other fascinating artifacts collected during Vanderbilt’s extensive world travels. A video tour of the museum is available for those who prefer not to do the walking tour.

The bus will depart from the Adult Activities Center, located at 80 Manorhaven Boulevard, at approximately 10:30 a.m., returning at approximately 4:00 p.m.

If you are interested in the trip, please call the Center at (516) 883-6656 to sign up or with questions.  Please note that, if there are not enough paid reservations received by June 21, the trip will be canceled and monies will be refunded.

Visit vanderbiltmuseum.org to learn more about what will be featured on the tour of the estate of William K. Vanderbilt II, heir to one of America’s greatest fortunes.
