What to expect in the fall from the MWCABC

The Island Now

The Manhasset Women’s Coalition Against Breast Cancer (MWCABC), a non-profit based in Manhasset whose mission is to fund innovative research, increase awareness through education and provide support services to those with breast cancer and related diseases will not be able to host its extremely popular and successful Ladies’ Night Out in October due to COVID-19. This annual event typically draws a crowd of over 500 attendees. Members of the community, esteemed researchers in the field, and doctors who are an integral part of the Coalition’s pursuits have turned out in behalf of the work of the Coalition for the past 23 years!

The organization is dedicated to finding alternative ways to raise money to continue to assist those affected by breast cancer. This year, due to concerns for the current situation, the MWCABC will host a virtual fundraiser, Manhasset Pink Strong. On each of the 31 days in the month of October, past and present recipients, volunteers, business partners, doctors, researchers and generous donors will be featured in live videos highlighting the amazing work of the Coalition and the impact it has made in Manhasset and surrounding communities. Pandemic or not, cancer does not stop, and women affected by the disease need the Coalition’s help more than ever.

As the MWCABC continues their dedication to the cause in the fight against breast cancer, please consider being a part of Manhasset Pink Strong. Keep a look out for the videos, visit their Facebook page, their Instagram page or go to www.manhassetbreastcancer.org to see how you can be a part of their efforts.
