Improve your tennis skills at our Holiday Tennis Camp over the February school break.

Nature Program: Birding Basics for Beginners

Sunday, Feb. 24, 12:30 p.m., this indoor presentation at Great Neck House will introduce adults to birds and their adaptations. You will be provided with information on where to go and what to get to learn more. A short optional bird walk, following the presentation, will be offered (binoculars helpful). Weekend Movie at Great Neck House

The film, Damsel (2018), directed by David and Nathan Zellner, starring Robert Pattinson, Mia Wasikowska and David Zellner, is being shown at Great Neck House Friday, Feb. 15 at 8 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, at 5 and 8 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 17 at 7:30 p.m. During the Wild West, circa 1870, an affluent pioneer ventures across the American frontier to marry the love of his life. As his group traverses the west, the once-simple journey grows treacherous, blurring the lines between hero, villain and damsel. It is rated R and runs 1h 53min. Admission with park card.

Sunday @ 3 Series

Christian Porter and Regina Sayles, also known as Porter & Sayles Duo, perform at Great Neck House on Sunday, Feb. 17 at 3 p.m. Their folk/pop music combines acoustic guitar, mandolin and various other eclectic instruments. You will enjoy their unique modern pop sound with traditional folk inspiration. Admission to Great Neck House requires a park card.

Camp Parkwood Winter Season at the Parkwood Sports Complex

Children, ages 4-10, can enjoy the next session of Winter Camp Parkwood over the February break (Monday, Feb. 18- Friday, Feb. 22, 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m.) Activities include tennis, skating/hockey, archery, gymnastics and more! The children are grouped by age; lunch may be purchased at the snack bar ($8 per day) or can be brought from home. Residents fee $450; Non-Residents fee $500. February Holiday Tennis Camp

Tennis players can up their game during the school break from Monday, Feb. 18 through Friday, Feb. 24 from 12 to 4 p.m. Children ages 6-17 can spend their time at Parkwood Tennis Center honing their tennis skills through instruction, games and match play. Register online www.gnparks.org or call (516) 829-9050. Residents, $80 per day; non-residents, $94 per day. Register for one day or all five.

Take a Hockey Clinic

Hockey clinics will be offered daily over the December school break, 9:15-10:15 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 26 through Friday, Dec. 29 (ages 5+). Full equipment is required to participate. There is a special public skate schedule for the holiday break which can be found on our website www.gnparks.org. Register online or call (516) 487-2975, Ext. 128.

Defensive Driving Classes at Great Neck House

Great Neck House offers Empire Safety Council Defensive Driving Classes on the first Saturday of every month. There will be a class on Saturday, March 2 from 9:30 a.m.to 3:30 p.m. To sign up for a class or for more information, call Great Neck House at 482-0355.
