Rotary Clubs throughout the world work to bring together community leaders to promote high ethical standards in all vocations, provide humanitarian services, and to advance goodwill and peace around the world.

Williston Park Rotary is an organization striving to do those things.

The local Rotary has been present in the lives of pediatric oncology and hematology patients at the Cancer Center for Kids at NYU Winthrop Hospital, with the Rotary underwriting the Center’s Recovery Room and giving additional donations topping more than $85,000.

During the holiday season the Rotary also delivered bags brimming with toys for girls and boys of all ages. Hot-ticket items included Lego sets, Star Wars figures, Magic Trucks and Party Bands, among the many playthings delivered for the Cancer Center’s “Winter Wonderland” holiday boutique created especially for pediatric patients.

The Cancer Center’s manager, Ashley Carlo, said “We are truly grateful for the Williston Park Rotary Club’s ongoing role in helping to ensure the comfort and care we offer our children and families every day.”
