A letter published last week wrongly criticized the Port Washington Business Improvement District for artwork used on a page promoting Destination Port Washington in the Guide to Port Washington on May 7 for failing to show the community’s ethnic and racial diversity.
The BID provided the information for the Destination Port Washington page but not the artwork. That was selected by the staff of the Port Washington Times.
The letter writer was correct in pointing out that the people in the photos chosen to illustrate the page did not reflect the diversity of Port Washington.
For that the Port Washington Times apologizes.
