Author to discuss uplifting book at Temple Judea

The WRJ Sisterhood in partnership with the Sid Jacobson JCC and the Jewish Book Council, will host author Yvette Corporon as their guest speaker on Wednesday, Oct. 18 at 7:30 pm at Temple Judea.

Corporan will be discussing her newly released book, “Something Beautiful Happened, A Story of Survival, Faith and Courage in the Face of Evil.”

Corporon grew up listening to her grandmother’s stories about how people on the Greek island of Erikousa hid a Jewish family from the Nazis during WW II.  Seventy years later she sets out to track down the family’s descendants.

 Following her presentation Corporon will take questions and sign her book.

 Admission is $10 per person and books are available for $25 at the Temple office.

On Sunday, October 15 at 9:30 am – 11:00 am, the temple will explore Jewish values is a talk accompanied by bagels.

Led by a certified early childhood educator, the program features free play, crafts, story, food, music and movement. 

Appropriate for children ages 1–5 and caregiver.  Siblings are welcome. This free PJ Library event is open to all.
