5,000 voices for peace on Veteran’s Day

The Island Now

Emmy award-winning director and producer A. Curtis Farrow invited singers, soloists, “shower singers,” and entire choirs and groups to be a part of a transformative experience as 5,000 voices come together on Veterans Day to sing for peace.

Peace Starts With Me: Healing America will take place at NYCB Live, Home of Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale on Monday, Nov. 12 at 3 p.m.

Hosted by the Family Federation for World Peace and Unification USA and the American Clergy Leadership Conference, the event will consist of musical performances by Hezekiah Walker, Yolanda Adams and a 5,000-member Voice Choir made up of singers from across the tri-state area and beyond.

In addition, there will be inspirational messages from Pastor Noel Jones of the City of Refuge Church in Gardena, Cali., and a keynote address from Korean religious leader, Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon.

Transportation to and from the event will be available from several locations throughout the New York tri-state, and lunch will be provided.

Anyone interested in participating should call 800-745-3000 or go to www.peacestartswithmechoir.com.

Come and be a part of history.
