As one of the world’s most in-demand performers, British comedian and ventriloquist Paul Zerdin’s unique talents have seen him invited to perform for The Queen on “The Royal Variety Show” no less than three times, and rack up international TV appearances from Montreal’s prestigious “Just for Laughs” to TV One’s “Comedy Rocks.”

“Paul Zerdin is in a league of his own,” said Time Out magazine. “That he is the UK’s most accomplished and well-known ventriloquist is beyond doubt pure audience gratifying magic.”

Zerdin’s critically-acclaimed live shows have seen him sell out theaters across the globe. Featuring hilarious ventriloquism, charm, and impeccable comic timing, his performances see him bring to life several different characters, including cheeky, pre-adolescent Sam, belligerent OAP (UK term for old age pensioner) Albert, and precocious infant Baby, as seen in his winning performance on NBC-TV’s “America’s Got Talent,” which has had millions of views on YouTube.

Since then, Zerdin has been keeping busy on both sides of the Atlantic.  The comedian was part of a star-studded lineup as Buttons in “Cinderella,” the London Palladium’s first pantomime in 30 years, a performance that saw high praise for Zerdin from the Radio Times, the Daily Mail, The Guardian and The Stage, and he premiered on the Las Vegas strip with a headline residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.

Zerdin made his TV debut in 1993 as the host of the GMTV’s “Rise and Shine” in England. He then went on to win ITV’s “The Big Big Talent Show,” hosted by Jonathan Ross.  Since then, he has appeared on countless TV shows, including “The World Stands Up” on Comedy Central, “The Stand Up Show” and Michael McIntyre’s “Big Christmas Show” on BBC1, “Just for Laughs Montreal Comedy Festival,” “Comedy Rocks with Jason Manford” and “Tonight at the London Palladium” on ITV1, and three appearances on “The Royal Variety Show” — all leading up to his win on the tenth season of “America’s Got Talent” here in the U.S. in September 2015.

Long Islander’s can now catch Zerdin’s one-of-a-kind act at The Paramount on Friday, March 23 at 8 p.m.
