Celebrate National Quilting Day with Hillside Public Library’s first annual quilting show on Saturday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Sunday, March 22, from noon to 3 p.m.
National Quilting Day is a day to appreciate and to recognize quiltmakers, along with all of their long labor, love, and skill that goes into the making of each quilt. Enjoy an exhibit of beautiful, colorful and unique quilts and speak to members of Evening Star Quilters Guild.
Evening Star Quilters was founded in 2001 when a group of individuals who met in an adult education class wished to take their quilting journey further. The guild has blossomed into over 100 members from Nassau and Suffolk counties as well as the NYC boroughs, ranging in experience and backgrounds.
