Museum Overnight-Sleep Under the Planes

Celebrate the beginning of spring with a fun-filled night at the Cradle of Aviation Museum. Bring a flashlight and take part in a scavenger hunt in search of artifacts across multiple galleries in the museum. Use craft paper and tissues to design your own spring trees. Use balloons as a brush to create swirls of color as part of a balloon stamping activity. Create rocket mosaics by combining Alka Seltzer rockets with food coloring fuel and watch them blast off into the night. There will also be a dome theater movie, snacks and a light breakfast. The event is $50 per person.

Junie B. Jones The Musical

The characters from Barbara Park’s best-selling books will be brought to life through this comedic musical. As Junie begins first grade, she makes a new friend, Herb, but also loses her best friend, Lucille. Additionally, she may needs to get glasses after having trouble reading the blackboard. Watch Judie as she takes part in a kickball tournament and create and write into a personal journal. Tickets for the event are $15.

The Wizard of Oz at the Showplace at Bellmore Movies

Plaza Theatrical Productions will be putting on a play based on the classic 1939 film of the same name, which was based on the 1900 L. Frank Baum children’s fantasy novel, “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.” Join Dorothy, Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion as they travel across the Yellow Brick Road to see the Wizard of Oz and have their wishes granted. Tickets for the event are $12 per person. Kids have an opportunity for a character meet-and-greet following the show. Refreshments will be available for purchase at the event.

Welcome to Our Neighborhood: A Tribute to Mr. Rogers

Out Like a Lamb

Just as the end of March is typically a gentle time of the year, lambs tend to be gentle animals. Children between the ages of three and five can stop by the Westhampton Library to learn and read stories about lambs. Additionally, kids at the event will have the chance to create their own lambs. Registration for the event is free, but those registering will need a library card. A parent or caregiver must accompany their children to this event.
