Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board will be welcoming spring with the Second Annual Clark Botanic Garden Spring Festival on Saturday, May 6 from 12 to 5 p.m.

The festival will celebrate spring and the beauty of nature at the Clark Botanic Garden in Albertson.

The day-long event will feature: fairies on stilts from the National Circus Project, an organization that aims to encourage children to learn and have fun at the same time; the Little Art Studio running a craft tent; an exotic animal show by Nature Nick; live musical performances by Tiger Folk Music, Strummin’ & Drummin’ — a children’s music show — and Paul Helou singing children’s songs; a magician and face painter; and a garden railway train display by the Long Island Garden Railway Society.

“We are truly heralding spring’s arrival with this delightful event that offers fun activities for the entire family,” said Bosworth. “It comes at a time when Clark Botanic Garden is bursting at the seams with new growth, colorful blooms and birdsong. Don’t miss it!”

All attendees can enjoy the 12 beautifully manicured acres of Clark Botanic Garden, which includes labeled gardens, trees, ponds and streams and provides an oasis of peace and aesthetic enjoyment for all.

Clark Botanic Garden is located at 193 I.U. Willets Road in Albertson.
