Kids in the Kitchen: Breadstick Bones

Friday, Oct. 20, 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m.
Little chefs ages 3 to 5 will use real cooking tools with some help from adults as they make easy, yummy, kid-friendly snacks from start to finish.  In preparation for Halloween, kids will make Breadstick Bones this week and Mini Pumpkin Hand Pies same time next Friday, the 27th.

Fright Nights at Old Bethpage Village Restoration

Friday, Oct. 20-Sunday, Oct. 22, 5-10 p.m. (also Oct. 27-29)
These creepy nights will feature six haunted tales in the village’s historic homes, as well as a zombie escape maze, an illuminated Jack-O-Lantern walk, a fire juggler, a bonfire, the Coney Island Circus Side Show and more. General admission (12 years old and up): $30. Not recommended for kids under 12.

Fall Festival at The Little Gym of Roslyn

Sunday, Oct. 22, 2:30-5 p.m.
This event that will include a costume competition, carnival games, arts and crafts projects, treats and prizes, snacks and serious fun is free for all families in the community, however they will be accepting donations. Families who make a $10 donation to Red Cross at the gym will be entered into a raffle to win $100 off of a birthday party package with a free theme upgrade.

Play: “Sleeping Beauty”

Based on the original Charles Perrault and Brothers Grimm story, this exciting tale of a beautiful princess, a sleeping enchantment, and a handsome prince comes to life with music.  Recommended for children ages 4 to 10.  All seats $25/$22 Friends.

Skull Designer Workshop for Teens/Tweens

Wednesday, Oct. 26, 4-5 p.m.
This special teen/tween workshop for kids ages 10 and up will involve designing a traditional sugar skull in celebration of the Mexican holiday, Dia de Muertos or Day of the Dead.  Materials and instruction provided.
