Tree Lighting and Visit from Santa 

Friday, Dec. 8, 6-8 p.m.
The Christmas tree at Planting Fields Arboretum will be lit on the Camellia House Lawn at 6 p.m. Families will delight in all kinds of holiday excitement, including caroling by the Barber Shop Quartet and live music in the Great Hall. Children can visit with Santa until 7:30 p.m. inside the Hay Barn. The tree lighting kicks off the Holiday Festival at Coe Hall that will take place on Saturday, Dec. 9 and 16 and Sunday, Dec. 10 and 17 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Holiday Craft at Old Westbury Gardens
Saturday, Dec. 9 and Sunday, Dec. 10, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. 
Kids will create a holiday-themed, take-home craft to deck the halls.

The Chocolate Expo

Sunday, Dec. 10, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Chocolate Expo, New York and America’s largest chocolate event, returns to the Cradle for another great holiday edition. The whole family can enjoy tastings and sales of chocolates, baked goods, specialty foods, and gelato, celebrity chefs, music and free face painting and balloon twisting for kids, along with a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Ye Olde Victorian Holiday Party

Sunday, Dec. 10, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Ring in the holidays with a Victorian-style celebration. Little ones can dip a candle and participate in other beautiful crafts to make and take while listening to live Sea Shanties. The event promises fun for all.

Stage Production: “Annie”

Through Sunday, Dec. 31 at various evening and matinee times
Based on the popular comic strip, “Annie” has become a worldwide phenomenon and was the winner of seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical.  Featuring the famous and feisty young heroine, the production includes such unforgettable songs as “It’s the Hard Knock Life,” “Easy Street,” “New Deal For Christmas,” and the eternal anthem of optimism, “Tomorrow.”
