Cinema for Kids! “The Wizard of Oz” Interactive Experience
Saturday, Dec. 16 at 11 a.m. 

You’re off to see the wizard! The Cinema Arts Centre invites all local munchkins to follow the yellow brick road to enjoy the movie masterpiece, “The Wizard of Oz.” After a screening of the classic film, there will be a special post-screening extravaganza — the Fantastic Funhouse — where 30 lucky kids will go “over the rainbow” and explore an interactive, immersive Munchkinland complete with characters from the movie, including Dorothy, the Scarecrow, and even the Wicked Witch of the West.

Santa Claus is Heading to… and then the 2017 Trollstice Winter Express Trolley is Departing from… Port Washington!
Saturday, Dec. 16, 1 to 2:30 p.m. (visit Santa) and 2 to 7 p.m. (trolley ride)

Head on over to Dolphin Bookshop, where Santa will read a story and hear what’s on every child’s wish list.  Then the second annual Trollstice Winter Express: A Celebration of Light and Spirit will depart from the Port Washington Town Dock, taking families on a magically-animated, storytelling journey through the woods of the Gold Coast before disembarking in the beautiful forests of Troll Village at the Science Museum of Long Island, 1526 North Plandome Road in Plandome.

Madison Theatre Annual Christmas Celebration

Town of North Hempstead Winter Wonderland Train & Light Display

Enjoy this year’s Winter Wonderland celebration that will include an outdoor steam locomotive, an indoor garden railway, a holiday light display in the garden, family-friendly activities, storytelling, arts and crafts, stargazing through a telescope, a visit from Santa Claus, and much more.
