1 New Exhibit: Tony Vaccaro, An American Photographer
Sunday, Nov. 5 through Sunday, Feb. 4 

To kick off the 2017 Gold Coast International Film Festival, the Gold Coast Arts Center will host this exhibit of the work of renowned fashion and lifestyle photographer Tony Vaccaro, who has captured everyone from John F. Kennedy and Sophia Loren to Pablo Picasso and Frank Lloyd Wright. The exhibit will include an opening reception on the 5th and a special Q&A event with Vaccaro.

Actress Krysten Ritter at Book Revue 
Tuesday, Nov. 7 at 7 p.m.

The actress best known for her role in the AMC hit series, “Breaking Bad,” and Netflix’s “Jessica Jones,” Krysten Ritter will appear at Book Revue to discuss and sign copies of her debut thriller, “Bonfire,” a psychological suspense about a woman forced to confront her past in the wake of small-town corruption.

4 Performing Arts Series: “Peter and the Starcatcher”
Tuesday, Nov. 7 and Thursday, Nov. 9 at 7:30 p.m.; Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 6:30 p.m. (with a post-show discussion)

Based on the novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, the Tony Award-winning “Peter and the Starcatcher” upends the century-old story of how a miserable orphan comes to be “the boy who would not grow up” (a.k.a. Peter Pan).  Performances will continue through Sunday, Nov. 12.

Bob Dylan & His Band Plus Mavis Staples
Wednesday, Nov. 8 at 8 p.m.

Rock and Roll Hall of Famer and winner of 11 Grammy Awards, a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award, Bob Dylan, who became a reluctant “voice of a generation” with songs such as “Blowin’ in the Wind,” “The Times They Are a-Changin’” and “Like a Rolling Stone,” will perform with music legend Mavis Staples.

6 Kupferberg Presents: An Evening with Gladys Knight
Thursday, Nov. 9 at 8 p.m. 

The “empress of soul” who has won seven Grammy awards will perform some of her most memorable songs of the 1960s, ‘70s, and ‘80s, including “Neither One of Us,” “I’ve Got to Use My Imagination,” “Best Thing That Ever Happened to Me,” the No. 1 hit “Midnight Train to Georgia,” and the classic “That’s What Friends Are For.”

Blue Öyster Cult and Jefferson Starship
