Pa. metal band to play The Paramount

The Island Now

An industrial city situated in Northeastern Pennsylvania, you could say Scranton quietly prides itself on a tried-and-true, Rust Belt work ethic.

So the band that hails from this city, Motionless in White, dug into the roots of their hometown’s pervasive attitude for their fourth, full-length album entitled Graveyard Shift.

Comprised of Chris “Motionless” Cerulli on lead vocals, Ricky “Horror” Olson on rhythm guitar, Devin “Ghost” Sola on bass, Ryan Sitkowski on lead guitar, and Vinny Mauro on drums, the band derived their name from the song, “Motionless and White,” by fellow metalcore band Eighteen Vision.

“We’re a band that came out of the small-town, blue-collar spirit,” says Cerulli. “We put ten years into growing this and working hard to do what we love the most. We look forward to putting in another ten. Both the area we come from and the fan base brought us to this point. Graveyard Shift is all about that work ethic. It’s been instilled in us. Early on, we realized if you give the time and effort to chase a dream, it’s possible to achieve it by the sheer amount of drive and passion you have.”

This passion will be on display at the band’s live performance at The Paramount on Friday, March 2 at 7 p.m.

The Paramount is located at 370 New York Ave. in Huntington. To purchase tickets for the show, call 631-673-7300 or go to www.paramountny.com.
