Reach Out America, a grassroots organization dedicated to human rights and other social justice causes, will present “Being Jewish and Female,” featuring Susan Weidman Schneider, founding mother of Lilith, Sept. 12, at 12 Noon at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Manhasset.
Schneider has been Editor-In-Chief of Lilith, the Jewish women’s magazine, since its debut in 1976.
She has appeared on Oprah, Good Morning America, CNN and other major television programs. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, Newsweek, Glamour and USA Today. She is the author of Jewish and Female, Intermarriage: The Challenge of Living with Differences between Christians and Jews, and, Head and Heart.
