“From Armed Insurgents to the White House: How Right-Wing Populism Breeds Neo-Fascism”

Chip Berlet is an investigative journalist and independent scholar who has studied Far-Right movements for over forty years, including three decades as a senior analyst at the think tank Political Research Associates.

Berlet is the co-author of “Right-Wing Populism in America: Too Close for Comfort” and his new book is “Trumping Democracy From Reagan to the Alt-Right”

He is also the co-author of the “Neo-Nazism” entry in the Encyclopedia Judaica and has written for The New York Times, The Boston Globe, The Progressive, and many other publications.

“It is too late to ask if fascism could come to America,” he said, “It has already arrived in a variety of forms that stretch from the torch-carrying neo-Nazis in Charlottesville, Virginia to the White House in our nation’s capital. It is our mission to defend human rights and preserve democracy itself.”

Berlet will be at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 48 Shelter Rock Rd. in Manhasset, on Wednesday, March 11 at 12:30 p.m. For more info visit: www.reachout-america.com or Reach Out America on Facebook.
