Deputy Suffolk County Executive and former Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Jon Kaiman will be a guest speaker for Reach Out America’s “Running up to the Election” event on Wednesday, Oct. 10 at noon at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation on 48 Shelter Rock Road.
Kaiman, a veteran of many political campaigns, will be talking about the upcoming midterm elections, which many have described as one of the most consequential political contests the country has seen.
In addition to his roles as supervisor and executive, Kaiman also worked as a Nassau County District Court Judge, headed the Nassau Interim Finance Authority and worked as an advisor to Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Superstorm Sandy recovery efforts.
Reach Out America will start half an hour earlier in order to give members and new visitors a chance to take part in committee meetings and potentially join them in their work.
Admission is free and refreshments will be served.
