30th Annual Long Island Festival of Trees

A display of holiday trees will be on display at the Cradle of Aviation museum, where they’ll each be on sale. Proceeds and benefits for each tree purchased will go to the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County, going towards programs and services that aid more than 1,500 people with developmental disabilities. Most of the trees will be available for bidding, with the winners of each tree being announced Sunday, Dec. 1. There will also be some trees available for immediate purchase. Additionally, dance and choral groups will be on hand to provide entertainment to attendees. Admission is $15 for adults and $10 for children. Kids two years and younger get in for free.

Holiday Artisan Festival at Nassau Suffolk Town Square

Some of the most notable artists, creatives, designers and crafters in the area will be on hand for the shopping event. Among the entertainers who will be on hand are Superhero DJ Jon Quick of WBLS 107.5 and comedian/actor Jamie Roberts. Quick is the co-host of 107.5’s “AfroFlava Radio” and Roberts is the executive producer and weekly host of “Sunday Night Live,” the longest-running comedy show in New York City.

Masquerade Rock Music Fest

The Space at Westbury Theatre will be hosting the Masquerade Rock Music Fest. Among those scheduled to perform are “Puddle of Mudd,” “Fuel” and “Sponge.” Additionally, “The Raskins” will perform as special guests. Rob Rush of 94.3 FM “The Shark” will be hosting the event. There will also be details revealed for the next Masquerade, scheduled for Jan. 17.

Job seekers with all kinds of backgrounds are encouraged to attend the event. Companies ranging from small businesses to Fortune 500 will be represented at the fair, looking to hire candidates. Those seeking employment would be able to learn about the businesses that are hiring and what they’re looking for in candidates. Attendees would be able to meet in person with hiring managers and get immediate feedback from their resumes. Some lucky candidates may even get hired on the spot.

Michael Bolton: The Symphony Sessions

Joe Nichols “Live on Stage”

Country music singer Joe Nichols will be coming to Long Island to perform at the Paramount. He’s released nine studio albums, with more than 14 top 40 singles on the “Billboard Hot Country Songs” and “Country Airplay” charts being produced. Since the release of his first album, “Joe Nichols,” in 1996, he’s racked up four Grammy nominations.

Annie

Thursday, Dec. 5, 2 p.m.

Based on the popular comic strip by Harold Gray, “Annie” is currently playing at the Smithtown Center for the Performing Arts. The seven-time Tony Award-winning play follows the titular plucky orphan in 1930s New York City as she sets out on an adventure. Tickets are $22 per person.
