Stand-up comic Normand brings laughs to Huntington

Fun-loving, New York comedian Mark Normand, who has starred in the Comedy Central special “Don’t Be Yourself,” will be the main act at the Cinema Arts Centre on Friday, Dec. 21 at 9:30 p.m.

A frequent guest on comedy programs including the “Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” “Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” “Conan,” Live at SXSW,” “Last Comic Standing” “Best Week Ever” and “Inside Amy Schumer,” among others, Normand is known for his punchy writing and delivery (The Laugh Button).

He has taken first place at the Great American Comedy Festival competition and won Caroline’s March Madness competition, beating out 63 other comedians. Normand was also voted the Village Voice’s “Best Comedian of 2013.”

Normand has appeared on “John Oliver’s New York Standup Show” on Comedy Central, was picked as one of Comedy Central’s “Comics to Watch,” was named Esquire’s “Best New Comedians 2012” and Time Out New York’s “21 New York Comedy Scene Linchpins.”

Normand has his own podcast, “Tuesdays with Stories,” released an album with Comedy Central records entitled “Still Got It (It’s Not Bad),” and continues to tour internationally.
