Tango Shalom is the little film that could. After 10 years in the making Tango Shalom is now in theaters and winning awards all over the world. Executive produced by Great Neck native Judi Beecher who also stars in the film.

Quick synopsis:
Tango Shalom is from the makers of My Big Fat Greek Wedding. Staring Lainie Kazan (My Big Fat Greek Wedding), Renee Taylor (The Nannie), Joe Bologna (Lovers and Other Strangers) and co-writer, Judi Beecher (Taken 3, La Garçonne), Karina Smirnoff (Dancing with the Stars) and Jos and Claudio Laniado (co-writers).

Rabbi Moshe Yehuda (Jos Laniado) is having financial problems, he has a large Hasidic family and faces the possibility of his Hebrew school closing. He has a vision from G-d to enter a televised Tango dance contest to resolve his financial issues.

The problem is that the religious beliefs do not allow a Hasidic man to touch a woman other than his wife (Judi Beecher) in order to make certain that Moshe keeps his faith he interacts with a priest (Joe Bologna) and other faiths asking for guidance. The Movie takes place in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

The movie is about inclusion, diversity, tolerance, interfaith dialog, community, humor and love. It is also the last film Joe Bologna was in and is directed by his son.

The movie is currently playing at the cinema and in at the Malverne cinema. if anyone has already seen the film then we welcome them to arrive at 4pm to be a part of the conversation at no charge!! Free parking in the visitors lot.
